Experience Required: 3–4 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time

⚠️ Immediate Joiners Only — candidates currently serving notice with immediate availability or very short notice period will be prioritized. Candidates with a long notice period (30+ days) may not be considered given the urgency of this requirement.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced DB Developer to join our Workforce Management (WFM) team on an urgent basis. Our WFM application is backed by MS SQL Server and currently has a codebase of 7,000+ stored procedures. We need a hands-on developer who can quickly ramp up, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain this large and complex stored procedure library while also supporting day-to-day database administration needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, debug, and optimize complex T-SQL stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers within the WFM database setting.
Analyze, refactor, and performance-tune existing stored procedures (7,000+) to improve execution efficiency and maintainability.
Troubleshoot production issues related to stored procedures, jobs, and data integrity within tight SLAs.
Perform query optimization, indexing strategy, and execution plan analysis to resolve performance bottlenecks.
Support core DBA activities: backups, restores, job scheduling (SQL Agent), monitoring, user/permission management, and basic capacity planning.

Collaborate with application developers and business teams to translate WFM business logic into efficient database code.
Participate in code reviews, version control practices, and deployment/release processes for database changes.
Document database objects, changes, and standard operating procedures.
Provide production support, including occasional off-hours support for critical issues.
Requirements Required Skills & Experience:
3–4 years of hands-on experience as a DB Developer / SQL Developer.
Solid, demonstrable experience in a DBA capacity (backups/restores, job scheduling, monitoring, security/permissions, performance tuning) — this is mandatory, not optional.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) — writing and optimizing complex T-SQL (stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, CTEs).
Experience working with large-scale stored procedure codebases (prior exposure to high-volume SP environments is a strong plus).
Good understanding of query performance tuning, indexing, and execution plans.
Familiarity with SQL Server Agent jobs, SSIS (preferred), and basic replication/HA concepts (Always On, mirroring, log shipping) is a plus.
Experience with Workforce Management (WFM)

systems or similar transaction-heavy enterprise applications is a strong advantage.
Ability to work independently, prioritize under pressure, and handle production support responsibilities.
Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Good to Have:
Exposure on version control tools (Git, Azure Dev Ops, etc.) for database change management.
Knowledge of database CI/CD or migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase, Redgate, DACPAC).
Basic scripting (Power Shell) for automation of DBA tasks.
