Varaha is a global, leading, climate tech venture focused on carbon removal solutions. We are seeking a Field Assistant (Sampling Support) to provide direct hands-on assistance to the Field Officer in all field sampling activities, including soil sampling, equipment handling, and sample transportation within the assigned district.

This is a physically demanding role requiring presence in agricultural fields during sampling campaigns. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining regular field presence, assisting in soil collection and handling, conducting basic quality checks, preparing and maintaining reports, and coordinating with team members to ensure smooth field operations and timely reporting.

The Field Assistant (Sampling Support) will work closely with the Field Officer to ensure that all sampling activities are conducted in accordance with the project's protocols and procedures. This will involve maintaining accurate records of sampling activities, including soil sampling, equipment handling, and sample transportation.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining reports related to sampling, observations, and field data. This will involve summarizing data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for future sampling activities.

The Field Assistant (Sampling Support) will also be responsible for coordinating with team members to ensure smooth field operations and timely reporting. This will involve communicating with team members, scheduling sampling activities, and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.

The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple tasks and deadlines. They will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to make decisions quickly and effectively.
