Role Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Executive / Sr. Executive – Material to manage material planning, procurement coordination, supplier management, inventory control, and production support activities. The role requires strong exposure to Casting and Sheet Metal procurement, supplier performance management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure uninterrupted material availability and efficient supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing and demonstrate robust analytical, planning, and supplier management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Material Planning & Production Support

1. Plan and monitor material requirements as per production schedules.
2. Ensure uninterrupted material availability to support daily production requirements.
3. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to eliminate line stoppages.
4. Identify potential material shortages and proactively initiate corrective actions.
5. Manage production schedule releases and communicate demand fluctuations to suppliers.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, supply chain systems, and statutory requirements.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

1. Handle procurement activities for Casting, Sheet Metal, Fasteners, and other production materials.
2. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries in line with production requirements.
3. Track pending Purchase Orders (POs), delivery commitments, amendments, and closures.
4. Expedite critical material requirements to avoid production disruptions.
5. Resolve supplier capacity and delivery-related issues.

Supplier Performance Management

1. Evaluate supplier performance on Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development, and Sustainability (QCDDS).
2. Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews.
3.



Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Build strong supplier relationships to improve operational efficiency.

Technical & Commercial Coordination

1. Read and interpret engineering drawings, casting drawings, specifications, metallurgy, and manufacturing process requirements.
2. Coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchase, Quality, Logistics, and Stores teams to ensure seamless material flow.
3. Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions for supplier-related concerns.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

1. Monitor inventory movement and optimize stock levels.
2. Ensure timely replenishment of critical materials.
3. Track and resolve shortages related to Sheet Metal Components, Castings, Fasteners, Bought-out Parts, and other production materials.
4. Improve inventory turnover while maintaining uninterrupted production.

ERP / SAP

1. Hands-on experience in SAP ERP (MM Module preferred) or any equivalent ERP system.
2. Execute material planning, purchase order tracking, inventory monitoring, and supplier transactions through SAP.
3. Generate SAP-based MIS reports and maintain the accuracy of material master and procurement data.

MIS & Reporting

1. Prepare and maintain MIS reports covering:
