Core Responsibilities -

1. Installation: Setting up electrical panels, switches, circuit breakers, conduits, and lighting systems in current or existing buildings.
2. Maintenance & Inspection: Performing routine preventive checks on electrical transformers, motors, and machinery to prevent breakdowns.
3. Troubleshooting: Using multimeters, circuit testers, and diagnostic tools to identify electrical malfunctions and short circuits.
4. Repair: Replacing faulty wiring, burnt-out fuses, and defective electromechanical parts.
5. Blueprint Reading: Analyzing technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to map out electrical layouts.

Essential Qualifications -

1. Education: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in the Electrician or Wireman trade.
2. Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local electrical codes, voltage limits, and safety protocols.
3. Physical & Technical Skills: Valuable color vision (to identify wiring colors), physical stamina, and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
