WSP is currently seeking Senior Civil Engineer with experience in Water Utilities. The successful candidate will be experienced in Australian water and wastewater codes with an emphasis on network infrastructure, including pumping systems/pressure hydraulics.
The candidate shall be responsible for the development of civil pipe and pump designs from concept design to detail design, ensuring high technical standards including production and review of high-quality technical documentation.

Responsibilities
- Design water Infrastructure projects, such as sewer and watermains, Pressure Hydraulics, pumping stations,
- Contribute to technical design inputs, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
- Follow design standards relevant to Australia.
- Participate in meetings, check ins, design reviews with clients, engineers, other design staff showcasing a good level of technical and professional ability.
- Working understanding of Civil 3D software
- Ensuring that quality assurance (QA) procedures are implemented and maintained, becoming a champion of QA to uphold a high level of quality
- Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies, be vigilant about health and safety even when outside of work hours.
- Support the WSP approach to sustainability, future ready and encouraging design teams in a forward-thinking manner to Adopt alternate design technologies to encourage a better footprint for the
environment.
- Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Communicate with internal peers and project team and be prepared to answer questions regarding deliverables.
- Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients.

Qualifications
- Should have 10+ years experience in civil water utilities design
- Should have Degree in Civil/Water or relevant field
- Experience with utilities water and wastewater pipeline projects: gravity sewers and rising mains of all sizes and various pipe materials, pumping stations
- Experience with projects in Australia would be an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
- Good experience with other Civil 3D software
- Ability to identify technical risks.
