JOB DESCRIPTION – MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Position: Maintenance Engineer

Department: Maintenance

Qualification

1. Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

1. 2 to 5 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance.
2. Experience in PU (Polyurethane) Manufacturing Industry or similar automated manufacturing machinery is preferred.

Job Purpose

To ensure maximum uptime and efficient operation of plant machinery, electrical systems, and utilities through effective preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and rectify faults in electrical systems, motors, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and automation equipment.
3. Maintain electrical distribution systems, MCCs, DG sets, compressors, pumps, and plant utilities.
4. Ensure timely resolution of machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
5. Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history.




6. Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
7. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and company safety policies.
8. Support TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

1. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
2. Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, electrical control circuits, and automation systems.
3. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
4. Valuable analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and industrial safety practices.

Industry Preference: PU Manufacturing, Automotive Components, Packaging, Plastics, Chemical, or similar Process
