Job Title: In-House Legal Counsel (Contracts & Agreements)

Compensation: Salary will be based on current package, with a competitive hike provided.

Qualifications: LLB / LLM from a recognized institution

Experience: 3–8 years of experience in contract law (law firm or in-house)

Role Overview:

The In-House Legal Counsel will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing all contractual agreements of the company, ensuring legal compliance while protecting business interests.

Key Responsibilities:

* Contract Review & Drafting

* Review, vet, and draft a wide range of agreements including:

* Vendor and supplier agreements

* Customer contracts

* NDAs and confidentiality agreements

* Lease agreements

* Partnership and joint venture agreements

* Identify legal risks, ambiguities, and unfavourable clauses

* Negotiation Support

* Work closely with business teams to negotiate contract terms

* Provide commercially practical legal solutions

* Risk Management

* Highlight potential legal exposure and suggest mitigation strategies

* Ensure contracts align with company policies and applicable laws





* Compliance & Governance

* Ensure all agreements comply with relevant laws and regulations

* Maintain contract templates and standard clauses

* Contract Lifecycle Management

* Track contract timelines, renewals, and obligations

* Maintain organized repository of all agreements

* Advisory Role

* Provide legal advice to internal teams on contractual matters

* Support management on strategic legal decisions

Skills:

* Robust understanding of commercial and corporate law

* Excellent drafting and negotiation skills

* Attention to detail and risk assessment ability

* Business-oriented mindset (not just legal theory)

Preferred Experience:

* Experience in industries like manufacturing, retail, or FMCG

* Familiarity with cross-border contracts (if applicable)

* Exposure to compliance frameworks
