We are seeking a results-driven Purchase Manager to lead our procurement activities. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals, and find more profitable suppliers to reduce expenses and improve the bottom line.
As a key member of our Supply Chain/Operations team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies that drive business growth and profitability. You will be responsible for identifying and vetting reliable vendors and suppliers, negotiating prices, terms, and deadlines, and ensuring the best possible value for the company.
You will also be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective, tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness, and managing the procurement budget and providing clear financial forecasting.
In addition,
you will be responsible for reviewing and managing existing contracts and renewals, ensuring all agreements meet legal and corporate compliance standards, and working closely with the warehouse and production teams to ensure optimal stock levels without over-investing in 'dead' inventory.
You will also be responsible for identifying potential supply chain risks and developing contingency plans (e.g., alternative sourcing) to ensure business continuity.
