About the Role

Transsion is on a mission to become India's first true AI Ecosystem Brand. We are looking for a AI Product Manager who will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of AI-powered experiences for millions of users across India.

This role will focus on building innovative AI capabilities tailored for India's mobile-first ecosystem, working closely with global R&D; teams, AI partners, and ecosystem stakeholders to deliver impactful products.

Key Responsibilities

1. India Market Competitive Analysis

- Track and analyze AI product strategies of key competitors (Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo) across hardware, software, and GTM.
- Monitor emerging AI players (ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Perplexity) and translate insights into product strategy.
- Develop competitive intelligence reports for leadership.
- Identify white-space opportunities and benchmark product performance across segments.

2. AI Industry Insights & Strategy

- Stay updated with global AI trends, research, and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate AI vendors, foundation models, and on-device AI capabilities.
- Drive build vs. partner vs. buy decisions.
- Represent the organization at AI forums, industry events, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Create internal thought leadership (AI landscape reports, insights).

3. Product Strategy & Execution

- Define and own the AI product roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver scalable AI features.
- Work with global stakeholders (including China HQ)



for roadmap alignment and execution.
- Drive product innovation tailored to India's diverse user base.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

- 6–9 years of Product Management experience.
- Minimum 3+ years in AI/ML-powered products.
- Proven experience delivering AI features at scale (10M+ users preferred).
- Hands-on exposure to:
- LLM/API integrations
- Edge AI / on-device inference
- Robust experience in competitive analysis and product strategy.
- Experience working with external tech partners (AI startups, telecom, chip vendors).

India Market Expertise

- Deep understanding of India's mobile ecosystem:
- OEM competition
- Android ecosystem
- Localization & vernacular needs
- Rural/Tier 2–4 market dynamics
- Experience conducting field research and building user-centric products.

Soft Skills

- Ability to work in a global, cross-cultural environment.
- Comfortable collaborating across time zones - Asian
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High ownership mindset with ability to work in ambiguity.
- Strong bias toward user-first thinking and field insights.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (mandatory)
- MBA from a reputed institute (preferred)
