Position Overview:

As part of the Windows Client Architect team, we will design and lead the enterprise-wide architecture for Windows-based client systems used across corporate offices, R&D; centers, and manufacturing plants. This team ensures a secure, standardized, and reliable client environment that supports engineering, production, and business operations seamlessly. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Windows client technologies with an understanding of industrial IT and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain a robust Windows client architecture suitable for both office and plant environments.

• Develop standard operating environments (SOEs) and golden images for Windows clients used in design, testing, and shop-floor applications.

• Drive adoption of modern device management (MDM/MEM/Intune) and hybrid Azure AD environments.

• Design deployment and update strategies using SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune for distributed devices across multiple plants and offices.

• Ensure efficient OS lifecycle management (Windows 10/11) and timely rollouts of security patches and feature updates.

• Lead hardware standardization in collaboration with procurement and OEM vendors.

• Implement security baselines aligned with CIS benchmarks, ISO 27001, and corporate IT/OT security policies.

• Enforce BitLocker encryption, Defender for Endpoint, and Conditional Access policies for endpoint protection.

• Partner with the cybersecurity team to ensure endpoints meet Zero Trust and NIST principles.





• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation workflows for provisioning, patching, and reporting.

• Optimize client performance for design and simulation tools used by engineering teams.

• Collaborate with network and server teams to streamline authentication, printing, and shared resource access.

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Windows-related escalations and technology roadmaps.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, architectural standards, and compliance checklists.

Required Qualifications:

• 6-9 years of experience in Windows client engineering or architecture, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.

• Expertise in Windows 10/11 Enterprise, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM / Intune.

• Expertise in browser policies, Extensions and setting.

• Strong understanding of Azure AD Join / Hybrid Join, Autopilot, and PowerShell scripting.

• Knowledge of Defender, BitLocker, Conditional Access, and Windows Hello for Business.

• Experience managing devices in industrial or restricted network environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certifications such as Up-to-date Desktop Administrator Expert, Enterprise Administrator Expert, or Azure Solutions Architect.

• Exposure to VDI / Windows 365 Cloud PC, or engineering workstation management.

• Experience in global manufacturing setups or multi-site environments.
