Project Role : AI / ML Engineer

Project Role Description: Develops applications and systems that utilize AI tools, Cloud AI services, with proper cloud or on-prem application pipeline with production ready quality. Be able to apply GenAI models as part of the solution. Could also include but not limited to deep learning, neural networks, chatbots, image processing.

Summary

As an AI/ML Engineer – Snowflake Cortex Specialist, you will design and build intelligent data applications leveraging Snowflake s native AI capabilities, including Cortex AI, Cortex Functions, and Cortex Search. Your role will focus on developing production-ready, AI-driven data solutions within Snowflake, enabling advanced use cases such as semantic search, LLM-powered transformations, and intelligent data retrieval.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Generative AI capabilities directly into Snowflake-based architectures, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Act as an SME for Snowflake Cortex (Cortex AI,



Cortex Functions, Cortex Search)

Design and implement AI-driven data solutions natively within Snowflake

Develop and deploy GenAI use cases using Cortex capabilities (e.g., summarization, classification, semantic search)

Implement Cortex Search and vector/semantic search solutions for enhanced data access

Ensure performance optimization, warehouse scaling, and cost efficiency in Snowflake

Implement data security and governance (RBAC, masking policies)

Collaborate with Data Science, BI, and Product teams to translate business needs into AI-enabled data solutions

Mentor junior team members on Snowflake and Cortex best practices

Continuously evaluate and adopt new Snowflake AI/Cortex capabilities

Professional & Technical Skills

Must Have

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (5+ years)

Proven expertise in:

- Snowflake Cortex AI / Cortex Functions
- Cortex Search / semantic search implementations
- Building LLM-based or GenAI use cases within Snowflake

Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and contemporary data architectures

Experience in building scalable and production-grade data pipelines
