Job Description

- System Administration: Install, configure, and manage Unix-based operating systems, including AIX, RHEL Linux.

Server Management: Monitor and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication methods (LDAP, NIS, PAM).

Shell Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain shell scripts (Bash, Perl, Python) for automation tasks like system monitoring, backups, and configuration management.

System Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency.

Security Management: Apply patches, upgrades, and configure firewalls. Implement security best practices,



ensuring systems are protected against vulnerabilities.

Backup & Recovery: Ensure system backups are performed regularly and that recovery procedures are in place and tested.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. Provide support for application and infrastructure teams.
Networking: Understand and manage networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NFS, and SAN/NAS storage solutions.

Incident & Problem Management: Provide support for critical issues (Level 3 escalation). Perform root cause analysis for system outages and incidents.
