Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver high-quality music lessons aligned with IB DP standards to students in a classroom setting.
- Design and implement engaging curriculum and assessment tools to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music education with other subject areas and school activities.
- Engage with students, parents, and staff to support student development and address individual learning needs.
- Keep up-to-date with IB DP music curriculum changes and pedagogical best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- Proven experience teaching IB DP Music or equivalent high school music programs
- Robust knowledge of music theory, history, and performance techniques
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
- Ability to design and assess curriculum according to IB standards
- Relevant teaching certification or license
- Preferred
- Experience working in international schools or similar multicultural environments
- Additional language proficiency is a plus
