Job Description: Junior Accountant (Payroll & Reconciliations) - Australian AccountingLocation: Pune | Work From Home / HybridExperience: 2–5 yearsJob Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to manage payroll processing and bank/credit card reconciliations for our Australian clients. This is a focused, execution-heavy role suited to someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on ownership of recurring monthly processes. Familiarity with Australian accounting standards, payroll compliance, and reporting cycles is required.Key Responsibilities:Payroll ProcessingProcess monthly/bi-weekly payroll accurately and on scheduleVerify employee hours, salary changes, deductions, and reimbursementsEnsure statutory compliance with Australian payroll requirements (PAYG withholding, superannuation guarantee, Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting, and other mandatory deductions as applicable)Reconcile payroll reports against general ledger entriesMaintain payroll records and respond to basic payroll queriesCoordinate with the Account Manager on any discrepancies or exceptionsBank & Credit Card ReconciliationsPerform monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts and credit card statementsMatch transactions against the general ledger and flag discrepanciesInvestigate and resolve unmatched or duplicate transactionsMaintain supporting documentation for all reconciling itemsEnsure reconciliations are completed within the monthly close timelineRequirements:2–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or general accounting, ideally with Australian clientsWorking knowledge of Australian accounting/payroll software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Australia)Familiarity with ATO requirements — PAYG, superannuation guarantee, STP — is a robust plusStrong attention to detail and accuracy with numbersComfortable working with recurring monthly deadlinesGood written communication for flagging discrepancies clearlyAbout Atidiv: At Atidiv, we help businesses scale smarter with our tech-enabled, data-driven outsourcing solutions such as customer experience, bookkeeping, ad operations and data engineering.
