We are seeking a skilled Sr. System Administrator to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, with a focus on maintaining and optimizing server environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of our systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall success of our IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain servers, both physical and virtual, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems for better efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to deploy applications and manage their environments.
- Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Document system configurations, processes,
and procedures for reference and compliance.
- Research and recommend current technologies and tools to improve system operations.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-6 years of experience in system administration or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Power Shell) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and deployment.
- Understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
