- Machine Setup & Operation: Loading programs (G & M codes), setting offsets, and operating VMC machines.
- Production Monitoring: Monitoring machine operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers) to ensure compliance with blueprints.
- Tool Management: Selecting, installing, and managing cutting tools.
- Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
- Documentation: Recording production data and maintenance logs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
- Programming Skills: Experience with CNC/VMC programming (G & M codes).
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNC or VMC Operator.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of machining techniques.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training or certifications preferred.
