Job Title: Cashier

Job Summary

Sri Medha Educational Institutions is looking for a sincere, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Cashier to manage day-to-day cash transactions, student fee collections, and financial records while ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect tuition fees, examination fees, hostel fees, and other student payments.
- Issue fee receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Handle cash, UPI, cheque, and bank transactions efficiently.
- Verify daily cash collections and prepare cash closing reports.
- Deposit collections into the bank as per institutional procedures.
- Maintain petty cash and record all expenses accurately.
- Reconcile cash balances with accounting records on a daily basis.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department regarding fee records and student ledgers.
- Assist students and parents with fee-related queries and payment clarifications.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial records and student information.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports.
- Support audits by maintaining proper documentation and records.




- Ensure compliance with institutional financial policies and procedures.

Eligibility

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or any equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Cashier or in Accounts (educational institution experience preferred).
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
- Basic understanding of banking procedures and financial documentation.
- Robust numerical ability and attention to detail.

- Ability to work under pressure during admission and fee collection periods.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Customer-friendly attitude while interacting with students and parents.

Preferred Candidate

- Age: 22–35 Years
- Immediate joining preferred.
- Experience in educational institutions will be an added advantage.
