Job Summary
BDS Group is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant who will be responsible for handling daily accounting operations for retail stores. The candidate should have robust knowledge of accounting principles, retail accounting processes, and hands-on experience in Tally Prime and MS Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting activities of retail stores.
- Maintain purchase, sales, payment, and receipt entries in Tally Prime.
- Manage cash and bank reconciliation statements.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Handle invoice verification and vendor payment records.
- Monitor store expenses and maintain expense records.
- Assist in GST-related documentation and accounting support.
- Coordinate with store teams for account-related activities.
- Maintain MIS reports using MS Excel.
- Ensure proper filing and record management of financial documents.
- Support management with data analysis and report preparation.
- Visit stores within Kolkata region whenever required for accounting support and verification.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com Graduate is mandatory.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Accountant.
- Hands-on experience in Tally Prime.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Basic understanding of retail accounting processes.
- Knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel within Kolkata region.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail industry accounting.
- Knowledge of GST and basic taxation processes.
- Ability to prepare MIS and financial reports independently.
