- any degree / diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive mechanics a plus
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and automotive market trends Inspect interior and exterior condition of vehicles for damage, wear, or modifications.
- Evaluate engine performance, tires, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
- Test drive vehicles to assess drivability and identify mechanical issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify hidden issues or error codes.
- Research market trends, recent sales data, and pricing guides to determine fair market value.
- Prepare detailed reports and condition sheets for each evaluated vehicle.
- Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to support trade-in offers or acquisitions.
- Verify VIN numbers, odometer readings, and vehicle history reports (e.g., Carfax).
- Communicate findings to internal teams and, when necessary, to customers.
