Position responsibilities
- Perform hands-on manual and automated testing across enterprise applications, including Functional, Integration, End-to-End, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression testing.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated test scripts, frameworks, test data sets, and reusable test assets.
- Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure complete test coverage.
- Review and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and solution designs to identify risks, gaps, and testability concerns.
- Lead test readiness activities, including test planning, scope definition, script development, execution scheduling, defect management, and test reporting.
- Perform API and backend testing for RESTful services and enterprise applications developed using C#, PHP, and Python.
- Drive adoption of testing standards, quality engineering best practices, and scalable test management processes.
- Expand and enhance the organization's test automation footprint through script development, code reviews, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Promote shift-left testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to improve software quality throughout the SDLC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in SDET,
Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or related roles within enterprise environments on both manual and automation testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience testing applications, RESTful APIs, and backend services developed using C#, PHP, and Python technologies.
- Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright or equivalent.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and quality engineering practices.
- Experience with TDD, BDD, shift-left testing, and continuous testing approaches.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
