- Design end-to-end user experiences and UI screens for all IndoChats feature verticals
- Conduct usability testing with target segments, including Tier 2–5/rural and diaspora users
- Maintain the design system in line with brand house style (navy/saffron/teal, v4.1)
- Partner with Frontend/Android/iOS Engineers to ensure design fidelity in implementation
- Design for accessibility and low-bandwidth/low-literacy contexts relevant to India's user base
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant, hands-on experience in the field — IndoChats is an early-stage startup, so this person must be comfortable owning their area end-to-end with limited hand-holding and a small team in UX/product design for consumer mobile apps
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process (research → wireframes → high-fidelity → handoff)
- Experience designing for emerging-market users (multi-language, low-bandwidth, diverse literacy)
- Proficiency in Figma or equivalent design tooling
