Summary
As a Senior Data Visualization Consultant, you will design, develop, and deliver interactive dashboards, enterprise reporting solutions, and self-service analytics platforms. The role requires robust expertise in transforming complex business data into meaningful visual insights using modern Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools.
The consultant will have extensive experience in data modeling, dashboard development, KPI reporting, data storytelling, and integrating data from multiple sources including cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and enterprise applications. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, ETL processes, and Agile methodologies is required, with a focus on business intelligence, performance optimization, and data-driven decision support.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions using modern BI and data visualization tools.
2. Gather business requirements and translate them into meaningful visual analytics, KPIs, scorecards, and executive dashboards.
3. Develop data models, datasets, and semantic layers to support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
4. Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, cloud platforms, APIs, data warehouses, and flat files.
5. Perform data cleansing,



transformation, validation, and quality checks to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
6. Design visually appealing dashboards following data visualization best practices and user experience (UX) principles.
7. Optimize dashboard performance, scalability, and usability for large datasets.
8. Develop drill-down, drill-through, filtering, and interactive visualization capabilities for business users.
9. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
10. Create reusable reporting templates, visualization standards, and best practices across the organization.
11. Support data governance, security, role-based access control, and report lifecycle management.
12. Troubleshoot reporting issues and optimize queries for improved performance.
13. Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure reliable data pipelines and reporting accuracy.
14. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
15. Mentor junior developers and establish best practices for dashboard development and data visualization.

Professional & Technical Skills:
1. 6+ years of experience in Data Visualization, Business Intelligence, and Analytics.
2. Strong expertise in BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense/QlikView, or Amazon QuickSight.
3.



Extensive experience designing interactive dashboards, executive scorecards, and operational reports.
4. Strong understanding of data visualization principles, KPI design, and data storytelling techniques.
5. Expertise in SQL for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting.
6. Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting solutions.
7. Strong understanding of data modeling concepts including star schema, snowflake schema, and semantic models.
8. Experience integrating data from relational databases, cloud platforms, APIs, Excel, CSV files, and enterprise applications.
9. Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and analytics workflows.
10. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
11. Familiarity with AWS analytics services including Amazon Athena, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon S3.
12. Experience optimizing dashboard performance, query execution, and data retrieval processes.
13. Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS), data governance, and access management.
14. Experience using Git, Azure DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines for BI development and deployment.
15. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
16. Excellent communication, presentation, and business consulting abilities.
17. Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

Additional Information:
1. The candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in Data Visualization.
2. This position is based at the Hyderabad office.
3. A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
