Job Title:Network Installation and Commissioning Engineer

Job Description:

A role responsible for on-site installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment, ensuring proper functionality and integration within a client's network environment, requiring strong technical expertise in switching technologies and hands-on experience with network cabling and commissioning procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Installation and Cabling:
- Physical installation of network devices like switches, routers, and access points at customer sites according to project plans.
- Managing network cabling infrastructure, including fibre optic and copper cabling, ensuring proper termination and labelling.
- Performing cable testing and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Configuration and Commissioning:
- Configuring switching protocols (VLANs, trunking, port security) on network devices.
- Implementing network segmentation and access control policies.
- Performing initial network connectivity testing and troubleshooting basic network connectivity issues.
- Documenting network configurations and site details.
- Testing and Validation:
- Executing comprehensive network performance tests to verify bandwidth, latency, and packet loss
- Utilizing network monitoring tools to identify and resolve network performance bottlenecks
- Conducting functional testing of network features and functionalities
- Customer Interaction:




- Collaborating with project managers and customer representatives to understand project requirements and address concerns
- Providing technical support and training to end-users on basic network usage
- Communicating project status updates and potential issues to relevant stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (STP, VLANs, trunking, port security)
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network switches and routers from leading vendors
- Understanding of network cabling standards (copper and fiber optic)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques

Soft Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and technical teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation

Cisco Certified Network Associate Certifications would be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per year
