Contractor Job Description C++ Software Engineer Job Summary Seeking a contractor with strong hands-on C++ development experience to enhance and maintain reader/writer functionality for CAE/FEA solver interfaces.

The ideal candidate should possess strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities: Develop and enhance reader/writer code for CAE/FEA solver formats.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues.

Optimize code performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Develop and execute unit, verification, BVT, and functional (FNC) tests to ensure software quality and reliability.

Investigate and resolve issues identified through automated and manual testing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and validate solutions.

Document technical designs, test results, and implementation details.

Required Qualifications Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong hands-on experience in C++ programming and software development best practices.





Experience developing and maintaining software components.

Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with unit testing, verification testing, and code optimization.

Knowledge of at least one scripting language: Python, Tcl, or Shell.

Familiarity with Git version control systems and team-oriented development practices.

Robust analytical, logical reasoning, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience Experience developing or enhancing reader/writer code for engineering or simulation applications.

Familiarity with CAE/FEA solvers such as OptiStruct, Radioss, LS-DYNA, Abaqus, ANSYS, Nastran, PAM-CRASH, or similar technologies.

Experience with large-scale engineering software applications.

Exposure to software verification and validation processes.

Experience working with global or cross-functional development teams.
