Position: Moulding Production Manager

Location: Cochin, Kerala

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Polymer, Production, or Plastics Engineering

Experience: Around 15–25 years of experience in plastic injection moulding manufacturing.

Experience in automotive, electronics, connector, or precision plastics manufacturing is preferred.

Job Summary:
A Moulding Production Manager is responsible for managing the entire plastic injection moulding production operation, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, cost objectives, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.

In manufacturing plants, this role is critical because injection moulded plastic components are used in electrical and electronic connectors.

Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day injection moulding production across multiple machines and shifts.
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), productivity, and machine utilisation.
Reduce cycle time, scrap, and machine downtime through continuous improvement.
Ensure product quality by maintaining process parameters and coordinating with the Quality team.
Troubleshoot moulding defects such as flash,



short shots, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, and flow lines.
Coordinate mould changes, machine setup, and production scheduling.
Work closely with Tool Room and Maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Lead production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and machine operators.
Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and Six Sigma initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO/IATF quality systems, and company procedures.
Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily production reports.
Support current product introduction (NPI), mould trials, and process validation.
Control production costs, manpower planning, and material consumption.
