Job Summary

Ronak Industries is seeking a skilled and experienced Conventional Lathe Operator to manufacture precision railway components. The candidate should have hands-on experience operating conventional lathe machines and be capable of producing components as per engineering drawings while maintaining strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate conventional lathe machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, chamfering, taper turning, and drilling operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and technical specifications.
- Machine components within specified tolerances and dimensions.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on the material and job requirements.
- Measure finished components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine.
- Report any machine defects or production issues to the supervisor.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping in the work area.
- Coordinate with the quality and production departments to ensure timely completion of jobs.

Eligibility





- ITI in Turner/Machinist or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating conventional lathe machines.
- Experience in machining steel, alloy steel, brass, cast iron, and other engineering materials.
- Experience in manufacturing precision industrial or railway components will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining tolerances and fits.
- Good understanding of cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.

Experience

- Minimum: 3 years
- Experience in railway or precision engineering manufacturing will be an added advantage.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹50,000 per month, depending on the candidate's skills, experience, technical knowledge, productivity, and overall capability.

Working Hours

- As per company policy.
