Job Overview

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a paint shop and possess hands-on expertise in the color tinting and mixing process. You will be the primary point of contact for our customers, helping them select the right products, accurately mixing their desired colors, and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the shop.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service: Greet customers, understand their project needs, and provide expert advice on paint types, finishes, and color selections.
- Color Tinting & Mixing: Operate automated and manual color dispensing and shaking machines. Accurately read color codes, match swatches, and mix paints to achieve exact customer specifications.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product catalog, including primers, enamels, emulsions, waterproofing solutions, and painting accessories.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of paint bases, colorants,



and accessories. Assist in unloading deliveries, restocking shelves, and conducting regular inventory checks.
- Shop Maintenance: Ensure the tinting station and mixing equipment are cleaned and maintained daily. Keep the shop floor organized, presentable, and safe.
- Sales & Billing: Process customer purchases, generate invoices, and handle cash or digital payments efficiently.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in a paint shop, hardware store, or similar retail environment.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with the paint tinting/mixing process and operating paint mixing machinery.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy paint buckets (up to 20+ liters) throughout the shift.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in Malayalam and a working knowledge of English are preferred.
- Attention to Detail: High precision when inputting color formulas and matching shades.
- Team Player: A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues in a quick-paced retail environment.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
