Sealant Specialist is a production skilled responsible for applying chemical compounds, seam sealers, and anti-corrosion barriers to vehicle body panels, joints, and gaps.

This role is vital for ensuring a vehicle is watertight, protected against corrosion, and structurally sound, while reducing interior noise (NVH control).

- Department: Body Shop / Paint Shop / Assembly Line
- Core Goal: Prevent environmental leaks and rust.
- Safety Level: Medium to High (Handles hazardous materials and chemical fumes).

Key Responsibilities

- Apply specialized sealants: Extrude hem flange, seam, and mastic sealants onto weld joints, roof ditches, and underbodies.
- Operate application equipment: Utilize manual, pneumatic, or battery-powered sealant guns, pumps, and specialized nozzles.
- Manage automated systems: Load, monitor, and clean robotic sealant dispensing systems on high-speed assembly lines.
- Smooth and finish beads: Brush or trowel wet sealant lines to ensure complete coverage, proper adhesion, and a smooth cosmetic finish before painting.
- Perform quality control: Inspect sealed components for voids, air bubbles, gaps,



or insufficient thickness.
- Prepare surfaces: Clean vehicle joints of press oils, dirt, or contaminants using chemical solvents.
- Monitor material conditions: Track chemical cure times, pot life, temperatures, and viscosities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Technical expertise: Experience handling polyurethane, PVC, silicone, or butyl-based chemical compounds.
- Precision and hand-eye coordination: Ability to consistently lay down uniform, continuous beads of sealer.
- Blueprint reading: Proficiency in following OEM work instructions, standard operating procedures, and technical drawings.
- Safety awareness: Strict adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, including respirators and chemical-resistant gloves.
- Experience: A high school diploma or vocational certification, often combined with 1–3 years of automotive assembly line or paint shop experience

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
