Urgent Hiring – Microbiologist (Food Industry)
Position: Microbiologist
Industry: Food Manufacturing / Food Processing
Location: Bharuch, Gujarat
Experience: 2–3 Years
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and environmental samples.
- Prepare and sterilize microbiological media and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Conduct pathogen testing (Salmonella, E. coli, Coliforms, Yeast & Mold, etc.) as per standard methods.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, and food safety standards.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, test reports, and calibration records.
- Investigate microbial contamination and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with the QA/QC and Production teams to ensure product quality and food safety.
Qualification:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a Food Manufacturing/FMCG industry.
- Positive knowledge of microbiological testing techniques, food safety systems, and laboratory practices.
