Key Responsibilities

l Design, configure, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and campus-wide network infrastructure.

l Configure and manage routers, Layer-2/Layer-3 switches, wireless controllers, access points, and firewalls.

l Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure maximum network uptime.

l Configure and manage VLANs, Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), DHCP, DNS, NAT, ACLs, and QoS.

l Administer enterprise firewall solutions (Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, etc.).

l Ensure network security by implementing firewall policies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control mechanisms.

l Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and vendors for internet connectivity and network maintenance.

l Maintain network documentation, IP addressing schemes, configuration backups, and asset records.

l Perform preventive maintenance, firmware upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.

l Provide technical support for servers, wireless infrastructure, CCTV, IP telephony, and other network-enabled systems.

l Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and organizational IT policies.

Eligibility Criteria / Educational Qualification

l Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.

l MCA, M.Tech, or an equivalent postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience

l Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network administration or network engineering.

l Experience in Universities, Educational Institutions, Hospitals,



or large enterprise environments will be preferred.

Required Certifications

l* CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)* Mandatory

l* CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)* Preferred

l Fortinet NSE / FCF Certification Preferred

l Sophos Certified Engineer – Preferred

l CompTIA Network+ or Security+ – Preferred

l Microsoft Windows Server Administration Certification (Preferred)

Technical Skills

l Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, Routing & Switching.

l Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, HP, Juniper, MikroTik, or equivalent networking equipment.

l Firewall administration and network security management.

l Wireless network deployment and optimization.

l Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Windows/Linux server environments.

l Experience with network monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or Nagios.

l Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud networking will be an added advantage.
