We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Dispatch Planner to coordinate daily transportation and delivery operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning routes, scheduling shipments, communicating with drivers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries. The Dispatch Planner will work closely with logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to maintain smooth dispatch operations and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily dispatch and transportation activities.
- Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and warehouse staff for timely deliveries.
- Monitor vehicle routes and shipment status using dispatch software or GPS systems.
- Optimize routes to reduce delivery time and transportation costs.
- Prepare dispatch documents, delivery schedules, and reports.
- Handle delivery delays, route changes, and emergency situations efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, fuel usage, and driver performance.
- Communicate with customers regarding delivery timelines and updates.
- Support continuous improvement in logistics and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years experience in logistics dispatch or as a Dispatch Planner preferred .
- Proficiency with Email Handling, Calls and Computer knowledge.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple drivers/routes simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local and regional routes is a plus.
Compensation depends on the experience you have in dispatching.
