Position: Assistant Technician

Department: Operations

Reports To: Technician / Operation Manager

Location: Hyderabad

Role Summary

Homsense is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Technician to Assist the Technician in the installation, testing, commissioning, service, and maintenance of home automation systems. Support daily site activities while following company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the installation of home automation devices, wiring, and system components.
- Support testing, commissioning, and DALI lighting setup under Technician guidance.
- Assist in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain site tools, materials, work area, and follow all safety procedures.
- Update daily site progress, report issues, and assist in client handover and basic system demonstration.

Skills Required

- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and electrical safety.
- Basic understanding of home automation systems and components.
- Ability to use electrical and hand tools.




- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and installation drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn current technologies and follow instructions.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and work discipline.
- Basic documentation and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites as per business requirements.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma/ Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics, ECE, Civil or a related field.

Experience

- Fresher to 2 years of experience in electrical, automation, or related field.
