Network Engineer – Firewall

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise firewall and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of network security, routing, switching, VPN technologies, and firewall administration.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise firewalls.
- Implement and manage firewall security policies, NAT, ACLs, and VPNs.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Layer 2 & Layer 3 switches and routers.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, and firewall backups.
- Configure Site-to-Site VPN and Remote Access VPN solutions.
- Analyse security logs and respond to network security incidents.
- Coordinate with OEMs and ISPs for issue resolution.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with organisational security standards and best practices.

Required Skills





- Hands-on experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or Check Point.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing (OSPF/BGP), Switching, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience in firewall rule creation, policy optimisation, and security hardening.
- Knowledge of IDS/IPS, Web Filtering, SSL Inspection, and Network Access Control.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of cloud networking (AWS/Azure) is preferred.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

- Fortinet NSE / FCA
- Sophos Certified Engineer
- Palo Alto PCCET / PCNSA
- Cisco CCNA / CCNP
- Check Point CCSA (Preferred)

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

Candidate who is having Internship Experience is also Eligible

Experience: 1-3 years in Network & Security Engineering.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
