PLC & Robotic Integration Engineer

Location: Pune (Travel to client sites as required)

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PLC & Robotic Integration Engineer to design, develop, and

implement complete industrial automation solutions. The candidate will be responsible for PLC

programming, robotic integration, system commissioning, and production line automation.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in industrial automation, robotics, and

machine integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. PLC & Control System Development

- Design and develop control systems for industrial automation projects.

- PLC programming (Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Schneider).

- HMI & SCADA development and troubleshooting.

- Configure industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet).

- Electrical panel I/O validation and field device integration.

2. Robotic System Integration

- Program and configure industrial robots / cobots.

- Develop motion sequences, pick & place logic, palletizing, machine tending applications.

- Integrate robots with PLC-controlled systems.

- Interface robots with conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and servo systems.

- Optimize robot cycle time and process efficiency.

3. Installation & Commissioning

- Lead on-site installation and commissioning of PLC and robotic systems.

- Conduct dry runs, testing, debugging, and performance validation.

- Ensure safety compliance during installation and operation.

- Provide production support during startup phase.

4. Troubleshooting & Optimization





- Diagnose PLC and robot-related faults.

- Improve cycle time and process reliability.

- Upgrade and modify existing automation systems.

- Provide technical support to customers.

5. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare electrical drawings, I/O lists, and technical documentation.

- Develop operation manuals and troubleshooting guides.

- Submit commissioning and project reports.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics / Robotics / Automation or related

field.

- 2–5+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and robotic integration.

- Experience in Siemens / Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.

- Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc / ABB / Universal Robots / etc.).

- Strong understanding of sensors, actuators, VFDs, servo systems.

- Good understanding of industrial safety standards.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with vision systems integration.

- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts.

- Familiarity with AutoCAD for panel layout design.

- Experience in machine building / packaging / material handling automation.

Work Environment

- Travel required for site commissioning and service support.
