Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Assistant with an M.Sc. in

Microbiology or Molecular Biology, or a B.Tech/B.E. in Biotechnology, or MTech to join our team in

Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience and will play a crucial role in

supporting both industrial and academic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and execute experiments for protein purification and biochemical assays.

- Implement basic microbiology protocols for experimental setups.

- Comprehend project requirements as specified by the client.

- Understand and follow reaction parameters from supervisors or managers.

- Discuss and understand the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) with the team.

- Identify and mitigate potential safety risks with supervisor assistance.

- Plan and execute reactions with proper reagents and equipment, maintaining specified

conditions with optimal usage and minimal wastage.

- Ensure the parallel execution of multiple reactions.

- Monitor reaction progress using standard methods and analytical techniques.





- Identify and execute appropriate workup and purification techniques to produce desired

quality compounds.

- Analyze and interpret analytical data results and report to supervisors or managers.

- Meet productivity benchmarks as per project timelines.

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines in the labs.

- Maintain and use equipment/apparatus/instruments as per SOPs.

- Document reactions, research findings, and observations accurately in lab notebooks as per

client requirements to ensure data integrity.

- Maintain strict IP confidentiality and adhere to all related policies.

- Compile required experimental data to prepare final reports.

- Continuously improve knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques, Microbiology,

Biochemistry, and Analytical techniques.

Qualifications:

- Research, validation, HPLC techniques, protein purification, basic microbiology, basic

molecular biology, documentation, analytical techniques, reagent preparation.

- 1- 4 years of experience, including internships in a biology lab.

- Good understanding of basic enzymology and protein engineering.
