Role Overview
We are looking for a Network Security Engineer with hands-on experience in Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewalls. The role involves managing firewall operations, implementing security changes, troubleshooting network connectivity issues, supporting VPN environments, and ensuring high availability of enterprise network security infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer and troubleshoot Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewalls.
- Perform firewall policy creation, configuration changes, firmware upgrades and high availability (HA) implementations.
- Troubleshoot network and VPN connectivity issues using GUI, CLI, TCP Dump and Packet Capture tools.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Execute firewall change requests while adhering to incident and change management processes.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and enterprise customers to implement security solutions.
- Ensure continuous availability, performance and security of enterprise network infrastructure.
- Participate in a 24×7 rotational support setting.
Mandatory Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in Network Security.
- Strong hands-on experience with Checkpoint Firewalls and Cisco ASA Firewalls.
- Experience in firewall configuration, policy management, upgrades and HA deployment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using GUI, CLI, TCP Dump and Packet Capture.
- Experience with VPN configuration and firewall rule implementation.
- Knowledge of incident management, change management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Good communication and client interaction skills.
