Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate / Project Associate to join our NGS Wet Lab team. This job offers hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques with a primary focus on Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Perform DNA and RNA extraction from various biological samples.
- Conduct Quality Control Assessments of nucleic acids using spectrophotometry, fluorometry, and gel electrophoresis.
- Prepare NGS libraries for sequencing workflows (Illumina platform).
- Execute PCR and RT-PCR experiments as per protocol.
- Assist in routine molecular biology techniques such as gel electrophoresis, enzymatic reactions, and sample handling.
- Maintain proper documentation of lab activities and experimental procedures.

Key Skills Required

- Hands-on experience in DNA/RNA extraction.
- Familiarity with NGS Library Preparation, preferably Illumina workflows.
- Working knowledge of PCR/RT-PCR.




- Strong foundation in molecular biology techniques.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work in a team.

Required Experience and Qualifications

- Education:

Research Associate: M.Tech/Ph.D in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Genomics or Microbiology.

Project Associate: B.Tech / MSc in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Genomics or Microbiology.

- Experience: minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in NGS wet lab, especially Illumina library preparation workflows, DNA/RNA Extraction.
- Pay:

Research Associate: ₹ 40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month

Project Associate: ₹ 30,000.00 - ₹45,000. per month

Work Location: IIT Madras, Adyar, Chennai
