VMC Programmer

Experience

- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in VMC programming and machining operations.
- Experience in precision machining, tool room, automotive, aerospace, construction equipment, or heavy engineering industries preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize CNC programs for VMC machines using CAM software.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and 3D models.
- Select suitable cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Perform process planning for machining operations.
- Optimize cycle time and improve productivity.
- Support prove-out and first-piece inspection activities.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and tooling teams.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues on the shop floor.
- Maintain program documentation and revision control.
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of:
- VMC machining processes
- CNC programming (Fanuc controls)
- 2D & 3D CAM programming
- Tool selection and cutting parameters
- Fixture concepts
- GD&T; interpretation
- Process optimization
- Ability to handle complex components and tight tolerances.




- Knowledge of high-speed machining and multi-setup jobs preferred.

Software Knowledge

Experience in any of the following:

- Mastercam
- NX CAM
- SolidCAM
- AutoCAD

Machine Knowledge

Experience operating/programming:

- 3-axis and 4-axis VMC machines
- Vertical machining centers with pallet changers
- Knowledge of tooling systems and presetters

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
- CNC/ VMC Programming certification preferred /

Preferred Industry Background

- Automotive components
- Precision engineering
- Couplings and transmission components manufacturing
- Industry exposure
- Machine complexity handled
- Leadership capability

Additional Preferred Qualities

- Team handling experience

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Experience:

- VMC MANUAL PROGRAM: 5 years (Preferred)
- MASTER CAM / NX : 5 years (Preferred)
