Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC professional to lead our CNC department. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with woodworking CNC machines as well as metal laser cutting and engraving machines. The candidate will be responsible for machine operations, programming support, team management, preventive maintenance, and ensuring smooth production while maintaining quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and supervise CNC woodworking and metal processing machines.
- Handle **3-Axis, 4-Axis, and 5-Axis CNC machines.
- Operate **Multi-Boring Machines**, **CNC Routers**, **Laser Cutting Machines**, and **Laser Engraving Machines**.
- Select, install, calibrate, and maintain cutting tools, drill bits, router bits, engraving tools, and fixtures.
- Read technical drawings and optimise machining processes.
- Set up new jobs and ensure first-piece approval.
- Monitor machine performance, cycle times, and production efficiency.
- Lead and train CNC operators and helpers.
- Maintain proper machine maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S implementation on the shop floor.
- Minimize material wastage and improve productivity.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, QC, and Maintenance departments.




- Ensure safety standards and quality requirements are followed.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, tooling, and machining parameters.
- Experience with woodworking and metal fabrication CNC equipment.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, drill bits, router bits, tool holders, and tool life management.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine and tooling issues.
- Experience with nesting, drilling, routing, engraving, and laser cutting operations.
- Good understanding of production planning and process improvement.
- Leadership skills with experience managing a CNC team.

Preferred Experience

- Minimum 5–10 years** of CNC machining experience.
- Experience in the **furniture, handicraft, or wood & metal manufacturing industry**.
- Experience with CNC controllers.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software will be essential.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Tool & Die, or related field preferred.
- Relevant practical experience is mandatory.
