Summary

UST is looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, SQL, and contemporary Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with healthcare data and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The Opportunity

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business decision-making.
- Build optimized and scalable data models using Power BI Desktop following industry best practices.
- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs to meet business reporting requirements.
- Extract, transform, and load data using Power Query (M Language) from multiple data sources.
- Integrate data from SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, REST APIs, and other enterprise data sources.
- Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling, query tuning, and incremental refresh techniques.
- Publish, deploy, and maintain Power BI solutions in the Power BI Service, including Workspaces, Gateways, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver high-quality BI solutions.
- Implement data governance, documentation, quality standards, and reporting best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks.
- Support ongoing enhancements and maintenance of enterprise BI solutions.

What You Need





Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Expertise in Power Query (M Language).
- Strong understanding of Data Modeling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
- Excellent SQL skills, including complex joins, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, and query optimization.
- Experience working with large datasets and performance optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI administration.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise sources.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills

- Experience working within the Healthcare domain.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services and cloud-based BI solutions.
- Knowledge of Power BI deployment pipelines and governance frameworks.
- Experience with Tableau is an added advantage.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and Business Intelligence solutions.
