- Cleaning & Decontamination: Cleaning and decontaminating surgical instruments, trays, and equipment after use.
- Sterilization & Quality Control: Operating autoclaves, inspecting, and packaging instruments, while using indicators to verify sterility and maintaining records.
- Inventory & Distribution: Managing inventory, ensuring sterile items are stocked and distributed timely.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to infection control, safety regulations, and proper bio-medical waste disposal.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Certificate, Diploma, or B.Sc. in CSSD Technology or related field.
- Knowledge & Attributes: Understanding of sterilization techniques (e.g., steam, ETO) and infection control, with high attention to detail.
