Job Purpose

To oversee and manage all production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, machine efficiency, and optimum manpower utilization.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

Supervise and control all production activities during the assigned shift.

Ensure production targets are achieved as per daily production planning.

Manpower Management

Allocate operators and helpers according to the production plan.

Monitor workforce productivity and discipline on the shop floor.

Quality Assurance

Ensure production is carried out as per approved quality standards.

Coordinate with the Quality department for in-process inspections.

Process & Machine Monitoring

Monitor extrusion parameters including temperature, pressure, speed, and material consumption.

Ensure proper machine settings for different pipe sizes and grades.

Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Safety & Housekeeping

Ensure strict adherence to plant safety policies and PPE usage.

Promote a safe working setting and report unsafe conditions immediately.





Maintain 5S standards and cleanliness in the production area.

Material Management

Ensure availability of raw materials, masterbatch, packing materials, and consumables.

Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.

Maintain production and material consumption records accurately.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily production reports, machine-wise output reports, downtime reports, rejection reports, and shift reports.

Maintain production logs, shift records, and checklists.

Report major production issues, breakdowns, accidents, or quality concerns to the Production Manager.

Achievement of production targets

Machine utilisation and OEE

On-time production reporting

Qualifications - Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Plastic Technology, Polymer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience - 4–8 years of experience in a Plastic Pipe Manufacturing Industry.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or shift incharge role.

Required Skills - Knowledge of plastic pipe extrusion processes (HDPE, PVC, CPVC, MDPE, or related products).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
