Key responsibilities

- Platform administration: Deploying, installing, configuring, and maintaining the SolarWinds platform and its various modules (NPM, SAM, NCM, etc.).
- Monitoring and alerting: Proactively monitoring network and system performance, creating and fine-tuning alerts, and generating custom reports and dashboards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to monitoring, performance, and configuration, including agent-based and SNMP monitoring.
- Integration: Integrating SolarWinds with other IT systems like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, and other third-party tools via SNMP and REST API.
- Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance, applying upgrades and hotfixes, and managing licenses.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.





Required skills and knowledge

- SolarWinds expertise: In-depth knowledge of SolarWinds modules and their administration.
- Network protocols: Solid understanding of protocols like SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and NetPath.
- Operating systems: Basic to advanced knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, and AIX OS.
- Networking: Understanding of network devices like switches and WAN devices.
- Scripting and APIs: Experience with APIs, especially REST API, for integration.
- ITSM and ITIL: Knowledge of ITSM principles and integration with tools like ServiceNow.
- Problem-solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
