Position: Food Technologist
Location: Outskirts of Hyderabad
Department: Production & Quality
Reporting to: Founder of the Company

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Food Technologist to join our team. This role involves end-to-end responsibility across production, new product development (NPD), quality assurance, documentation, and production planning. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in food science, attention to detail, and the ability to translate innovative product ideas into scalable, compliant, and commercially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production

- Supervise day-to-day production processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to timelines.
- Monitor critical control points and troubleshoot issues during manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSSAI, and internal safety standards.
- Collaborate with operations to optimise yields, minimise wastage, and maintain consistent product quality.

2. New Product Development (NPD)

- Conceptualise, research, and develop innovative food products aligned with market trends and consumer demand.
- Conduct trials and pilot-scale production to validate product formulations.
- Evaluate new ingredients, suppliers, and technologies for feasibility.
- Prepare prototypes and work closely with design, marketing, and supply chain teams for successful product launches.

3. Quality Assurance

- Implement and monitor quality control procedures across raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
- Conduct sensory evaluations, microbiological testing, and shelf-life studies.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations.




- Maintain compliance with regulatory and customer-specific quality requirements.

4. Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain accurate production records, batch sheets, and QA reports.
- Draft and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and technical manuals.
- Ensure FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, and other certification requirements are adhered to.
- Support internal and external audits with proper documentation and reporting.

5. Production Planning

- Prepare production schedules based on sales forecasts, raw material availability, and plant capacity.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain to ensure timely availability of ingredients and packaging.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimise stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
- Track production KPIs (efficiency, downtime, wastage, OEE) and recommend improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in food production, QA, or NPD (experience in freeze-dried/ready-to-eat foods preferred).
- Strong knowledge of food safety, regulatory standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO), and quality management systems.
- Hands-on experience with documentation, audits, and compliance processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
