About the Role

Inland Hospital is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Consultant Microbiologist to lead the Microbiology Laboratory and support high-quality diagnostic services. The successful candidate will oversee microbiological testing, guide antimicrobial stewardship, strengthen infection prevention and control practices, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and report microbiological investigations, including bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, virology, and serology.
- Interpret culture and sensitivity reports and provide timely clinical advice to treating physicians.
- Lead the hospital's Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program and monitor healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
- Develop and implement antimicrobial stewardship initiatives in collaboration with clinicians and pharmacists.
- Ensure quality assurance, quality control,



and compliance with NABL/NABH and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Validate laboratory results and maintain accuracy, reliability, and turnaround times.
- Oversee laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, biosafety practices, and inventory management.
- Train, supervise, and mentor laboratory technologists and technical staff.
- Participate in infection control committee meetings, clinical audits, CMEs, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and statutory records.

Qualifications

- MBBS with MD/DNB in Microbiology from a recognized institution.
- Valid National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council registration.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
