Position: Floor Incharge

Department: Production / Fabrication & Stores

Location: Siltara, Raipur Chhattisgarh

Job Summary

The Floor & Store Incharge is responsible for overseeing -floor activities and managing store operations. The role involves monitoring material availability, controlling inventory, coordinating production requirements, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth workflow within the fabrication unit.

Key Responsibilities Floor Management

- Supervise daily fabrication activities including cutting, welding, grinding, fitting, and assembly operations.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per schedule.
- Monitor manpower utilization and work allocation.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and dispatch teams.
- Ensure adherence to safety, housekeeping, and operational standards.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Report daily production status to management.

Store Management

- Maintain inventory of raw materials, consumables, tools, and fabricated components.
- Handle material receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance.
- Maintain stock registers, GRNs, issue slips, and inventory records.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure proper identification and storage of materials.




- Coordinate with the purchase department for material requirements and replenishment.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/software or Excel.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant field.
- 2–5 years of experience in fabrication shop-floor and store management.
- Knowledge of fabrication materials such as MS, SS, welding consumables, fasteners, and hardware.
- Basic understanding of fabrication drawings and material requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems.

Reporting To

Production Manager / Plant Manager

Salary

20k-25k Negotiable

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Experience in fabrication, sheet metal, structural fabrication, or engineering manufacturing industries.
- Ability to manage both production floor activities and store operations independently.
- Solid organizational and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
