Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst with deep functional expertise in Finance within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in translating financial requirements into functional specifications, supporting current initiatives,



and enabling accurate financial reporting in line with global and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting Functional Analysis

- Analyze and document requirements related to financial accounting, reporting, and controls
- Strong understanding of General Ledger (GL), Sub‑Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Month‑end / Year‑end financial close, Accounting entries and reconciliations
- Partner with Finance teams to define requirements for P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and MIS reports
- Support financial reporting aligned with IFRS / IND AS / US GAAP

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

- Elicit requirements through workshops, stakeholder interviews, and document analysis
- Prepare high‑quality BRDs, FRDs, Functional Specifications, and User Stories
- Define business rules, data definitions, and calculation logic for finance metrics
- Support solution design discussions with IT, Architecture, and Data teams

Data, Reporting & Controls

- Define requirements for data sourcing, lineage, transformations, and controls
- Validate accuracy of risk and regulatory reports during SIT and UAT phases
- Support reconciliation between Finance numbers

Job Requirement

Finance & Accounting

- Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Hands‑on knowledge of General Ledger (GL) & Sub‑Ledgers, Chart of Accounts, Accounting entries & reconciliations, Financial close processes (month‑end / year‑end)
- Familiarity with accounting standards:IFRS / IND‑AS / US GAAP
- Experience with MIS, financial reporting, and management dashboards

Technical & Tools

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset
- SQL and data analysis skills
- JIRA, Confluence, ADO
- Exposure to Finance/Risk platforms such as: Core Banking Systems, Data Platforms
- Knowledge of working in Databricks will be added advantage
