Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to design, govern, and drive enterprise network architectures supporting critical banking services.

The role involves translating business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions, while making informed trade-offs across cost, risk, performance, and operational efficiency.

This position is ideal for individuals who can own architectural decisions end-to-end and operate effectively within large, regulated enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Design

- Design and implement enterprise network architectures across:
- - Data Centers
- WAN
- Cloud & Hybrid environments

- Define architecture standards, design patterns, and reference architectures
- Ensure security, scalability, and resiliency by design

2. Trade-off & Decision Making

- Balance competing priorities such as:
- - Performance vs Cost
- Security vs Usability
- Speed vs Governance

- Evaluate multiple approaches (e.g., overlay vs underlay, proprietary vs open-source)
- Make system-level architectural decisions , not device-level optimizations

3. Vendor & Technology Evaluation

- Evaluate solutions across vendors (e.g., Cisco, VMware, Juniper) and open-source platforms
- Maintain vendor-neutral architecture principles




- Select technologies based on best fit for architectural requirements , avoiding bias

4. Complex Program Delivery

- Lead network architecture across large-scale, multi-domain programs
- Collaborate with:
- - Infrastructure teams
- Security teams
- Cloud and application teams

- Ensure end-to-end design consistency across multi-region, high-availability environments

5. Stakeholder Management & Conflict Resolution

- Align stakeholders across business, security, operations, and vendors
- Manage and resolve conflicting priorities, including:
- - Security vs User Experience
- Cost vs Resiliency

- Drive decisions to closure through clear and assertive communication

6. Governance & Standards

- Define and enforce enterprise network standards
- Review and validate designs against architectural principles
- Provide guidance and oversight to engineering and delivery teams

Required Skills & Expertise

Core Networking

- Strong expertise in:
- - BGP (Mandatory)
- OSPF
- TCP/IP fundamentals

- Data center networking and fabric design
- Network security principles (segmentation, access control)

Up-to-date Networking & Cloud

- Software-Defined Networking (e.g., VMware NSX)
- VXLAN and overlay networking
- Hybrid cloud networking architectures
- Network automation (Python, APIs)

Platform & Systems

- Solid Linux and network integration knowledge
- OS-level network troubleshooting capability
- Experience with containers and infrastructure tooling

Experience

- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale network architectures
- Exposure to banking / financial services or regulated environments (preferred)
- Hands-on experience in:
- - High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR) designs
- Multi-region deployments and data center interconnects
- Secure access models
