SRV Agadi Hospital, a 130+ bed multispecialty hospital, is looking for a dedicated and experienced CSSD technician to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment while ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, inspect, assemble, pack, and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Operate autoclaves, ETO sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Monitor sterilization cycles using biological and chemical indicators.
- Maintain sterilization records and documentation.
- Ensure timely supply of sterile instruments to the operation theater, ICU, wards, and other departments.
- Follow infection control guidelines and hospital policies.
- Report damaged instruments and equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CSSD department.
- Support quality assurance and infection prevention initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Certificate in CSSD Technology, Operation Theatre Technology (OTT), or a related allied health science course.
Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CSSD technician in a hospital is mandatory.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with OT instruments and CSSD processes.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
