We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our modern polyclinic, Q Care Medical Centre, in Kuravilangadu, Kottayam. Our facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art Digital Laboratory to support our Outpatient (OPD) and Urgent Care services. This position offers a reliable day-shift schedule with no night duties. ​

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests including Clinical Pathology, Biochemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology.
- Collect and process patient samples (blood, urine, stool, and other specimens) following strict safety and hygiene protocols.
- Operate and maintain advanced digital laboratory equipment and automated analyzers.
- Ensure high accuracy in test results and timely delivery of reports for clinical review.
- Perform manual microscopic examinations and confirmation tests whenever required to validate and support automated analyzer results.
- Demonstrate strong competency in identifying and interpreting microscopic findings accurately.
- Maintain quality control standards and document all laboratory procedures accurately.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including reagents and consumables, to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Collaborate closely with doctors and nursing staff to prioritize urgent diagnostic requirements.
- Ensure proper waste management, infection control, and sterilization practices in accordance with healthcare safety standards.

Requirements:

- Qualification: B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT) from a recognized university.
- Registration: Valid registration with the Kerala Paramedical Council is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating automated Biochemistry and Hematology analyzers.
- Laboratory Skills: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in manual microscopic examinations and confirmation testing procedures.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, good documentation practices, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
